How It Started
Date Deputy was started by me, Danielle Reinhart. In 2012 my husband, Scott, told me about his idea to start a business based on dating ideas for people who are strapped for time and those who don't have a lot of ideas of what to do on dates. I was immediately fascinated with this idea. From our first date in 2007, I was lucky enough to experience Scott's clever and thoughtfully planned dates. He had great ideas for Valentine's Day, anniversaries, birthdays, our engagement, etc. He always seemed to outdo himself, and had a lot to live up to from the previous special occasion. His dates aren't like other dates I'd ever been on before. Now, don't get me wrong, not every date we go on is an experience. But I'm very impressed with the plans he comes up with when they are.
Everyone should have dates like this! So I thought, what a great idea to help couples strengthen their relationships. It's not that people don't want to take their spouse on this kind of date, they probably just don't have the time or may not be blessed with the creativity to plan the date. Due to lack of time, which let's face it...is a major reason we need this service in the first place, Date Deputy was just an idea for a few years. But, in 2015 I decided to stay at home with our two girls. It was then that I was able to start working on it when I had a little free time. Since then we have gotten feedback from people (clients, friends, family) and decided there was a need to help bring couples closer together through Date Deputy. So we revamped the direction of the business a little and decided to first come up with some guiding principles. Those are to strengthen relationships, to encourage dating in marriage/long-term ralationships, to push daters to have fun, try new things and get out of their routine, lead them to feel "butterfly" emotions and have both parties embrace chivalry. Becasue of this, we now offer a more classic date night service that's affordable and makes it easy for couples to regularly have date nights. Research shows that dating (married or not) the same person and doing the same things over and over again can cause you to fall into a rut, so to speak. You need excitement, which is as easy as doing something new and different, to spark emotions and enhance the intimacy towards one another. That's where Date Deputy comes in, and why I hope people will love the service that we provide. |
